In 1986 a college student named Tony Barthel decided to make a little bit of money "on the side" and asked his wife what he should call his DJ company. She said, "Sounds Like FUN!"
Since those days, the rather enthusiastic and unconventional Barthel has operated Sounds Like FUN! as a company that celebrates the unique individuality that is each of the people who chose to celebrate with us.
"My vision is to reflect the unique style and wishes that each of the people who celebrate with us have. No celebration should ever be cookie-cutter - each individual and celebration is unique."
With that ideology and a passion for quality, Sounds Like FUN! continues today. Even after all these years we still offer a level of enthusiasm and excitement for your very special day.
Tony has celebrated with celebrities of all sorts, from Ted Danson's 40th birthday to your own unique wedding Tony is truly unique in the way he likes to celebrate. But this comes from years of carefully planning with a written event plan for each celebration.
In 2008 Tony and his wife, Peggy, moved north to Nice, California to bring new life to the Featherbed Railroad Bed & Breakfast Resort (a fantastic place for your honeymoon destination!).
Tony has also authored the book, Wedding Horror Stories and How To Avoid Them.
Still, you'll still find Tony spinning tunes and making his infamous wise cracks at celebrations in both Northern and Southern California on occasion. More importantly, Tony is here to answer your call when you have a question about your entertainment.
Tony has had plenty of fun with a wide variety of celebrities, including Bobby Sherman who posed for the picture below.
